LES DELICES DE L'ILE MAURICE
Another reason to come to Verdun is this delightfully ramshackle restaurant serving the cuisine of the island of Mauritius at rock-bottom prices (emphasis on rock-bottom). The atmosphere is eclectic and shabby but the service is friendly and attentive. Mauritian cuisine is a mix of French, Indian, African and Chinese influences which are reflected in dishes such as deep fried cabbage, spring rolls, samosas, curries and a cornucopia of meat and fish stir fries. The food is simple, fresh and very tasty.
