LE PETIT ITALIEN

This little restaurant on the über-trendy stretch of Bernard has a polished-rustic look with jars of tomato sauce lining the walls providing a contrast to the otherwise chic surroundings.  Le Petit Italien serves cuisine that is at least Italian inspired if, at times, not particularly authentic. The food won't blow you away but neither will the prices and the packed dining room provides a fair measure of ambiance. A good place to go for Italian if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg and would rather not have the veal parmagiana at a box-store Pacini.
