LE NIL BLEU

I am no expert on Ethiopian food and, in fact, have never eaten at an Ethiopian restaurant other than Le Nil Bleu. The decor is vaguely upscale European with some local knick-knacks. The distinguishing feature of an Ethiopian meal is the injera, a very large flatbread that serves as plate, ustensil and starch on which various dishes, usually stews are placed and eaten. While I have heard about the unique combination of spices utilized in Ethiopian cuisine and the spiciness of the dishes, this is not really reflected in the cuisine at Le Nil Bleu. The food is not exceptional but not bad either. Still, it makes for an interesting evening with friends if you are on the lookout for something different and, until I find a new Ethiopian hotspot, remains the only Ethiopian restaurant I can recommend.
