GUY ET DODO MORALI
Located in the none-too-charming Cours Mont Royal shopping center, this restaurant and its French private club atmosphere seem a little out of place. The husband and wife team of Guy et Dodo Morali serve a more classical French cuisine than much of the bistro fare that dominates Montreal, offering dishes like salmon Wellington with beurre blanc, tournedos Rossini and îles flottantes along with more casual fare like steak frites and confit de canard. A very nice touch is the huge selection of wines sold by the glass. My meals here have always been solid, if not spectacular, and prices are fairly high for what is on offer.
