CAFÉ FERREIRA
The undisputed kings of high-end Portuguese cuisine and a favourite of downtown business high-rollers, Café Ferreira offers re-worked Portuguese classics and inventive seafood dishes. The seared tuna with Yukon Gold and foie gras mashed potatoes in fond de veau might not be traditional, but it is very tasty, while even classic grilled sardines are sussed up to haute cuisine standards by the Ferreira kitchen. Ferreira also offers a great selection of Portuguese wines. Try not to get seated at the back of the restaurant, which is like a troll's cavern, but push for a seat near the front where it is airier and brighter.
